Kathy Van Leeuwen, OTR, CHT, earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Kansas. She completed her Hand Therapy Certification (CHT) in 1998 and finds endless motivation in working closely with patients to get them back to full function! The constant evolution of hand therapy motivates Kathy to be creative, researching new protocols and treatment, learning and growing herself as a therapist all the time. She finds treating her patients' complex injuries to be fascinating and fulfilling. In fact, her favorite part of her job is the constant learning that happens when working with people and their injuries.
She wants patients to know that she believes that providing quality care is a collaboration between a patient and therapist. When you work with Kathy, you are part of the same team, striving for great results and long term success!
Kathy and her family moved from Illinois to Texas in 2017 and enjoy living on a ranch with their dogs and chickens... She says she doesn’t miss the Chicago winters at all! When she is not in the clinic, Kathy enjoys running, cooking, and traveling with her family.
