Job Summary:

To perform patient care as outlined by the APTA code of ethics and the State of Texas licensing  board, in addition to maintaining clinical integrity while meeting productivity standards.  All these functions are to be performed in compliance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, goals and budget of Greater Therapy Centers.

Minimum Criteria:

The following general duties and responsibilities are essential elements for employment at Greater Therapy Centers.

  1. Respects the confidentiality of information learned through one’s employment at Greater Therapy Centers.

  2. Is courteous and respectful of fellow employees, supervisors, clients, and the Greater Therapy Centers’ public.

  3. Performs duties in a way that ensures the employee’s own safety and that of others.

  4. Motivates staff and maintains a high level of morale among co-workers.

  5. Adheres to the state practice act and reports any wrongdoings to the proper supervisor.

  6. Will maintain advanced licensure and credentials as applicable (ie CHT).

Specific Criteria:

The following duties are essential to the specific job of Staff Therapist.

  1. Perform patient care duties in a manner consistent with State Practice Act rules and regulations.

  2. Take an active role in monitoring patient visits, referrals and have an understanding of the effects on the overall success of Greater Therapy Centers.

  3. Report to the Clinic Manager the state of your own personal schedule and volume in terms of patient visits and cancellation rates, and follow through as necessary with recommendations.

  4. Document and enter charges with accuracy, timeliness and quality.

  5. Exhibit a level of professionalism in line with the overall mission of Greater Therapy Centers.

  6. Have a desire to participate and be active in the sharing of ideas, concepts and suggestions to ensure and assist with the success of Greater Therapy Centers.

  7. Offer assistance with marketing and physician and community relations when schedule permits.

  8. Will participate in CEU courses to advance one’s knowledge in areas of personal, facility or company weakness while completing the state licensure requirements.

Education and Experience:

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical/Occupational Therapy.

  2. Current Licensure in the State of Texas.

  3. Minimum of One (1) year experience in outpatient orthopedics.
