Biography

 

About:
Jarod went to and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and Theories of Motor Control. After Graduating from Texas A&M Jarod moved to Fort Worth to attend the UNT Health Science Center’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He completed his doctorate in May of 2014 after being named the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.

Jarod Began working at GTC in June of 2015. Jarod’s focus in physical therapy is orthopedics with an emphasis on spinal manipulation, dry needling, and management of athletic injuries. He is able to cross the bridge between rehab and return to sport well with his back ground as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has been trained through Kinetacore as well as the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy to perform dry needling which is a technique that uses thin monofilament needles inserted into tissues to reduce muscle tightness, pain, and improve function. Additionally, Jarod is well trained in spinal manipulative techniques through the Manual Therapy Institute and the International Spine and Pain Institute.

Jarod is happily married to his wife Rachelle whom he met at Texas A&M. They prefer to spend their free time traveling, visiting family in College Station and San Antonio, TX, staying active and exercising, and attending Christ Chapel Bible Church.

Personal statement: “The two most important things a health care provider can do are educate patients and put their hands on patients in a healing manner. These are two treatments that you can always expect as a patient of mine.”
